Hello everyone, do you love the New Zealand birdlife? I do and some of the beautiful native birds with their sweet birdsong – reminds me of my childhood. Tuis and Fantails are among my favourites. Today’s card uses the Bird Banter photopolymer stamp set, one of the bird sets from the new Occasions catalogue .
I love parrots with their bright colours and we get a lot of parrots around springtime so this card reminds me of them.

The colouring here has been done using Stampin’ Up blender pens while I eagerly await my Stampin’ Blends which have now arrive – so watch this space! The colour combination of black, white and real red is very effective as a background for the parrot that ended up being real red, tempting turquoise and elegant eggplant. The designer series paper used for this project is now retired from the Merry Little Christmas designer series paper, however a great alternative is the petal passion designer series paper. The embellishments are real red enamel shapes.

The insert here is a simple black and white Budgie from the same stamp set with a red balloon to coordinate.
Supplies used include:
Cardstock – Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White; Inks – Basic Black Archival, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Elegant Eggplant; Stamp set – Bird Banter; Designer Paper Alternative- Petal Passion; Other – Layering squares framelits, real red enamel shapes, adhesive, dimensionals, blender pens, acrylic blocks, bigshot, trimmer, bone folder.
