Eastern Palace in Fresh Fig

Hello friends, you may have noticed I have got a bit behind with my blog lately so over the next few days I will be playing catch up with some cards from the last month or so. Today’s project was one of the March card class projects showcasing the Eastern palace stamp set in fresh fig for the first card and the second uses dapper denim . The base card of this first card is fresh fig with very vanilla mat and insert. The designer series paper is the ‘B’ side from the Eastern Palace DSP and we have cut the medallion and star shaped floweret using the Eastern Palace thinlits.

The stamping is all from the eastern palace stamp set, and in the centre of the medallion is the sentiment on a dazzling diamond glimmer paper mat adhered with dimensionals. The circles were cut using the layering circles framelits. The final embellishment is the glitter enamel accents to embellish the card. Stamp the insert to your liking and its good to go.

This second version is slightly plainer and possibly a more masculine version of the same card using the same suite of stamp set, dies and designer series paper. The cardstock and ink is dapper denim.

Animal Outings – Out of Africa meets South Pacific!

Hello everyone, I know the new annual catalogue has only just started but I am very excited about the possibilities with the projects in this catalogue. Today’s card is the first of the new catalogue and showcases the Animal Outings stamp set – ‘Out of Africa meets South Pacific’.

This is such a cute stamp set and so versatile, and it also has matching Animal Friends thinlits but also makes a great card just with the stamp set. I made this card for a frined’s birthday and as I was colouring I realised that the kangaroo had an identity crisis! Instead of carrying a joey in it’s pouch there is a koala bear.

The base card is black, with a pool party mat, a second black mat and then stamping on shimmery white cardstock. I’ve used the masking technique to create depth and texture to the card and then coloured the animals and background with Stampin’ Blends.Don’t you just love the cheeky giraffes and rhinos meander on either oblivious to everything or they just figure nobody will mess with them! You’ve got to admire the spunk of the birds sitting on the point of the rhino horn! I finished off with a bit of wink of stella and enamel accents

This was a relaxing card to make with the colouring, but and I hope you enjoyed it,

New Annual Catalogue- Love it, Live it, Share it

Hello everyone,well the time has finally arrived for the new annual catalogue for 2018-2019. As of 01 June we can purchase from the new catalogue and all other catalogues have retired. This is one of those times when there’s good news and there’s bad news! The bad news is that all items that have not rolled over to the new catalogue have now retired.

The good news is that there are a lot of great suites, stamp sets, embellishments, new colours and more to choose from in the new catalogue. Check out this cute stop-motion video to get a taste of some of what is in store, and share it with your friends to get their creative juices flowing!
