Hello friends today I’m looking out at beautiful sunshine and spring flowers in the garden. I thought it was the perfect day to share the second project from our card class this month which showcases the Nature’s Poem bundle – Rooted in Nature stamp set and Nature’s Poem dies.

The card base and mat is blackberry bliss cardstock. with paper from the Share What You Love specialty designer series paper. To achieve the two tone ombre effect I have used the sponge brayers with grapefruit grove and blackberry bliss inks. A little washi tape and post it notes help to get the straight line! I have stamped the tree in blackberry bliss and then cut it using the coordinating Nature’s Poem framelit and slightly offset to create a shadow effect. I think the blackberry bliss nature’s twine around the lower part of the card and tied in a bow goes well with this card. Using the Rooted in Nature stamp set I stamped the leaves in the top corner using the grapefruit grove and blackberry bliss inks and die cut from the nature’s poem dies. I first cut the champagne foil leaf using the framelit from Nature’s Poem and then embossed it using the embossing dies from the Nature’s Poem framelits and the new big shot embossing mats. The blackberry bliss faceted gem ties the leaves together in the corner. The greeting for this card is from the lovely labels stamp set, stamped in blackberry bliss, and cut with the 1 3/8 circle punch and a coordinating mat.

This second version of the card is a simplified version as we had a new crafter in our group. The card base is tranquil tide, and the paper is also from the share What You Love specialty designer series paper. The colours I used for sponging are mint macaron and granny apple green and I think they go so well together in this card. In attaching the tree for this card I placed it exactly over the space it had been cut from. I also used different embellishments for this card with linen thread around the lower part of the card and glittery enamel accents in granny apple green for the top[ corner. I like both versions of the card and I love the colour combinations. One card takes a little longer to make than the other but both are great. I hope you give them a try
