Hello everyone, today is a gloomy day here and a great day for crafting so that’s what I have planned for this afternoon. But first I wanted to share a card I made for my friend’s daughter for graduation of her degree, and it uses 3 stamp sets and the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper which has now sadly retired.

the colours in my head for this card were So Saffron and Highland Heather and one sheet of paper was the perfect colour. The base card is So Saffron cardstock – standard size 29cm x 10.5 cm and scored on the long side at 14.5cm. The mat is highland heather 10cm x 14cm, and the paper is 9.5cm x 13.5cm. All the stamping is done using highland heather ink and for the card front I have used a stamp from the new annual catalogue coming out in June. The words are perfect for this occasion and it gives a sneak peek to one of the stamps. I have gone over the words in wink of stella for effect, and die cut using the layering squares framelits on the whisper white and highland heather mat. Retiring glittery enamel accents in coordinating colours provide the embellishment. Finally for the card front I stamped 2 of the butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and attached to the top left corner of the card front.

Inside the card I adhered more designer paper on both sides of the insert because this was for a special card. Both sentiments are from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set and are also perfect for the occasion and adhered to highland heather cardstock before attaching to the card insert. Again I used layering squares and layering rectangles to die cut the images and mat card.
