Hello everyone, today I thought I’d share with a card I made from the one stamp set that has been my nemesis. For some reason every time I have tried to make a card using the Waterfront stamp set I have been disappointed. Today I was inspired by Jane Allmark from the UK and I have cased her card.

The card is made using shimmery white cardstock, copper foil, copper and silver embossing powders and the waterfront stamp set. The greeting comes from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in the holiday catalogue.

The card base is 14.5 cm x 21 cm, scored on the long side at 10.5 cm.The card front is 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, and the copper foil is 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″. It is essential to use the stampin buddy for this card to stop excess embossing powder in places you don’t want it. I stamped the trees with versarmark and then heat embossed with copper embossing powder. Once cool, I stamped the ‘snow drifts’ and ‘snow flakes’ with versarmark and heat embossed in silver embossing powder. I stamped the greeting with versarmark and heat embossed with copper embossing powder.

I finally assembled the card front to the foil and then to the card base. A few embossed trees and snow drifts on the insert finished the card perfectly.

Hello everyone, on Saturday we had some team training with a whole group of Stampin Up demonstrators and the card I am sharing today is my swap – the card I swapped with my team members using items from the Holiday catalogue. When I looked through the Holiday catalogue I was immediately taken by the plaid designer series paper. My ancestry is scottish and so the tartan look appeals although it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. I also loved the Elfie stamp set and for my swap decided to combine the two products.

I made two versions – the left is a base colour of shaded spruce and the one on the right is cherry cobbler – my favourite colour for this season. The card base is a standard half an A4 sheet of cardstock or 10.5 cm x 29 cm scored on the long side at 14.5 cm. The DSP is 14 cm x 10 cm and then I have used the stitched rectangle dies to cut a mat of gold foil, another of either shaded spruce or cherry cobbler, and a third piece of shimmery white cardstock for the card front. I stamped the image in memento black and coloured with stampin blends. Then the fun started! I played with the white puff paint to give the fur and snow effect, and finished off with wink of stella on the presents.

The insert is shimmery white cardstock 14 cm x 10 cm and I just did some stamping in strategic places and coloured with stampin blends. This is such a fun card and great for children or families for a Christmas card.

Hello everyone some friends of mine recently had a baby girl and that sent me to my craft room to make a baby card. I couldn’t go past Fable Friends for this card it is such a cute set and perfect for a baby girl.

The card base is shimmery whisper white 14.5 cm x 21 cm with a petal pink mat 14 cm x 10 cm, and a piece of the perennial essence designer series paper 13.5 cm x 9.5 cm. These layers are adhered to each other with tear and tape. Using the stitched rectangle framelits I have cut a rectangle in petal pink slightly larger than the card front in shimmery whisper white for the image. I then stamped the image in memento black using the Fable Friends stamp set and coloured with stampin blends. I particularly like the 3 pinks for the jackets and I used Flirty Flamingo, Roccoco Rose and Lovely Lipstick. They show more clearly on the insert below. The ducklings are coloured in So Saffron and mama duck in daffodil delight. I finished the card front with wink of stella on the jackets and bonnets, coloured some pearls and attached, and finally attached a bow made with the petal pink striped organdy ribbon.

I just stamped the ducklings on the insert on top of some DSP. I used the same colours as on front but somehow they show better here. I used light bermuda bay for the bonnets and light calypso coral for the beaks and feet.

A very cute and simple card, with lots of fun colouring.

Hello friends, today I want to share the set of designer series paper that I fell in love with early on, and the 3 cards picture here are all about the paper. I’ve used Kylie Bertucci’s Love It Chop It technique to showcase the paper.

This first card I gave to my sister for her 60th birthday and it uses both sides of the paper adhered on a mossy meadow mat 14 cm x 10 cm, the DSP is 13.5 cm x 9.5 cm cut at 2/3. The ribbon is white organdy ribbon coloured with mossy meadow stampin blends. The accent is made with a mossy meadow circle base for the Magnolia image from the Magnolia Lane stamp set and cut out using the coordinating dies.

The second card is a variation on the theme using petal pink cardstock base 1.5 cm x 29 cm scored at 14.5 cm, black mat 10 cm x 14 cm, and DSP 9.5 cm x 13.5 cm. A small strip of black card across where the paper meets provides a faux ribbon or belly band effect. The card is embellished with a punched out image from one of the sheets of DSP with a 1 3/4″ circle punch adhered to petal pink cardstock cut using the 2″ circle punch.

The 3rd card today is similar to the first using petal pink and mossy meadow cardstock and different sheets of paper. The ribbon is the petal pink organdy striped ribbon.

Hello crafting friends, today I want to share with you one of the gorgeous suites in the new annual catalogue the Perennial Essence Suite. I fell in love with the paper at my first glance of the catalogue and still love it. The suite includes the Perennial Essence designer series paper showcased in today’s project, the floral essence stamp set, the perennial essence punch, perennial essence vellum in 3 colours, petal pink organdy striped ribbon that you can do so much with and perennial essence floral centres. Needless to say I went for the whole suite!

Today’s card is a swing fold card and I selected a sheet of paper and then coordinated the cardstock accordingly. This uses Bermuda Bay cardstock for the base 5″x 7″ and scored on the long side at 2 3/4″ and 4 1/4″. Measure and mark 1″ in from each of the long sides and 1/2″ in from each of the short sides. Draw up to the score lines on the long sides, and draw between marks on the short sides. Cut with a craft knife on lines as marked. DO NOT CUT between the score lines.

I used Blushing Bride cardstock for the mat and prepared 2 pieces 6.5 cm x 12.5 cm; and one piece 3.5 cm x 12.5 cm. I also cut 2 pieces 9.5 cm x 7 cm for the swinging panels. The DSP measurements are as follows: 2 pieces 6 cm x 12 cm; 1 piece 3 cm x 12 cm; 1 piece 9 cm x 6.5 cm. I needed one piece of whisper white for the insert 9 cm x 6.5 cm and some extra clear vellum for the flower.

This is quite complex to make because of the need to fit and trim the cardstock and DSP for the opening for the swing panel. . Using your flirty flamingo stampin blends colour the back of the piece of vellum and when dry punch out 2 flowers and assemble. Cut a small piece of organdy ribbon to fold and adhere underneath flower, and adhere the assembled flower to card front. Embellish with clear faceted gem.

Once the mat and DSP are assembled onto the base card and swing panels, stamp your greeting and image onto the insert and adhere to inside of swing panel.

Although this was fiddly to make it was very effective when finished.
