Hello friends I have been a bit remiss lately with my blog which means I have lots to upload over the next wee while. Today’s card is one from the June card class showcasing the Daisy Lane stamp set and punch.
The base card is gorgeous grape and a standard size at 14.5 x 21cm scored at 10.5cm. The mat card is granny apple green, 10cm x 14cm and a second piece for the second mat. The card front is a change from whisper white or very vanilla and I have used sahara sand for a different look. To get this effect I carefully positioned the two pieces of sahara sand where I wanted them over each other and attached with repositionable tape. I then stamped daisies using gorgeous grape on and off the top piece of card, and the same with the leaves in granny apple green. I then attached the sahara sand to the green mat and positioned them to ensure the image appeared continuous. On scrap sahara sand I stamped a daisy in gorgeous grape and one in sahara sand for layering and punched them out with the large daisy punch. I finished assembling the card and accented with gold faceted gems.
I made a similar card using two of the in colours Roccoco Rose and Pretty Peacock, and this came out really well too. I hope you give this a try. Please contact me if you’d like to come to my monthly card classes,
