Hello everyone yesterday I posted one of the projects from the May card class and this is the second project. A box with lid that is home to three 3″x3″ notecards and all made in the class.
The box here is made using pink pirouette card stock 18.2 cm x 18.2 cm (7 3/16″ x 7 3/16″) scored at 5cm (2″) on all sides. The lid uses very vanilla cardstock16.5 cm x 16.5 cm (6 1/4″ x 6 1/4″) and scored at 4 cm (1.5″) on all sides. The designer series paper is from the wedding wishes set (retiring) 7.5 cm x 3.5 cm (3″ x 1 1/4″). The pink piece for the top measures 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm (3″ x 3″)
I have used the sunshine sayings stamp set for this sentiment and decorated with very vanilla ribbon and pearls. The elegant butterfly resting on top is the finishing touch and mirrors the embellishment on the notecards inside.
Inside the box are 3 note cards finished size is 3″ x 3″ with a very vanilla cardstock base covered with matching designer series paper, elegant butterfly and pearls In the class I taught the ladies a little trick to make sure the lid fitted perfectly and the box sat flat and every one was perfect (once the base was cut to the correct size.)
Additional items for this project were the trimmer, bone folder, scoring tool, adhesives and dimensionals – oh and a ruler. I made a faux pas to start with so remember the rule, measure twice cut once!!! (I forgot to measure twice didn’t I – but it all turned out fine in the end.) This
